Posted by Aron on August 03 2006 (Thursday) : 10:53 PMFrom Today's New York Times: "The Israeli Army...released the conclusions of its inquiry into the bombing on Sunday in Qana that resulted in the deaths of 29 civilians sheltering in a basement..." "The report said that the army did not know there were civilians in the building. `Had the information indicated that civilians were present in the building, the attack would not have been carried out.`[italics added] The army said it regretted the loss of life." Now where did I hear that one before? It's worth expanding on my previous conclusion: Next time you hear anyone defending the honesty and integrity of the Israeli army and government, or hear the Israeli government calling someone else (e.g. Sheikh Nasrallah) a liar, just respond with two words: "Dan Halutz." < | >
